Method of inspection

The objective is to ensure that the stone work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the contract specifications and approved workshop drawings. Initial material inspection shall be carried out at the factory prior to shipment to check coding and marking system for tiles, to minimize the range of color variations to the accepted limit. Site inspection is performed by subcontractor’s QC engineer together with the consultant`s engineer and the installer’s foreman, to check quality requirements. The setting out of horizontal and vertical lines shall be controlled through the reference points, axis and starting tiles by installers in coordination with the site surveyor. These criteria shall not exceed the tolerance described in the specifications. The safety regulations of the project shall be followed, especially for the scaffolding, hand tools, heard hats, electricity, fire, accidents, behavior of labors, and so forth.
